| It
is a great honor and privilege to invite you to the Post IID
2008 Satellite 5th Joint Meeting of SSSR* (Society for Skin
Structure Research) and SCUR (Society for Cutaneous Ultrastructure
Research), which will be held at the Otsu Prince Hotel, Otsu,
Shiga, Japan, from 17th to 19th May, 2008. This meeting will
be held in association with the Post IID 2008 Satellite International
Meeting on Autoimmune Bullous Diseases at the Otsu Prince Hotel.
Otsu Prince Hotel is located in a beautiful waterfront location
adjacent to Lake Biwa, and is only 20 minutes by commuter train
from Kyoto station. Charter buses will be prepared from the
Kyoto International Conference Center to the Otsu Prince Hotel
after the 2008 IID meeting finishes.
The aim of this meeting is to exchange and discuss topics
concerning structural investigations, including ultrastructure,
light-microscopy, dermatoscopy and other matters related to
basic skin biology and diseases. The scientific program committee
under the direction of Dr. Akiyama (Hokkaido Univ., Sapporo,
Japan) in collaboration with Dr. Ishida-Yamamoto (Asahikawa
Med. College, Asahikawa, Japan) will prepare an exciting and
inspiring program, including free communications.
On behalf of the organizing committee, I wish to extend to
you an invitation to stay two more nights in the Kyoto area
after the 2008 IID meeting, and enjoy more delicious Japanese
food and sightseeing in the mountains as well as fulfilling
your scientific interests. |
*The
SSSR (Society for Skin Structure Research), originally established
in 1974, has a 33-year history. The SSSR was previously called
the JSUCB (Japanese Society for
Ultrastructural Cutaneous Biology). In 2006, we changed the
name of the society from JSUCB to SSSR. The main purpose of
the SSSR is to promote any skin research that
involves a certain degree of morphological investigation, including
clinical, dermatopathological, and immunohistochemical work,
ranging from dermoscopy, light and electron microscopy to other
morphological techniques. |
