New Investigator Recognition Awards

 
 

The New Investigator Recognition Awards (NIRA) will be presented to 5 individuals during the 7th Combined Meeting for their work as young investigators.

 
 
  • NIRA candidates must have completed a residency or a PhD at the time of submission of their abstract to qualify, and must not have more than the equivalent of 5 years of active research experience (i.e., approved institutional leaves of absence excluded) beyond completion of their residency or PhD.
  • Candidates must be the first-listed and presenting author on the abstract submitted for the combined meeting, as well as corresponding author and cannot be a previous award winner.
  • The work must clearly be that of the applicant and not that of any co-author.
  • Potential candidates must send an email to the secretariat office cors2010@cs-oto.com . Subject must be “ 7th CORS NIRA application”.Message body must include your (full) name, institution and abstract submission No.

    Deadline for application of the NIRA is April 15.
  • 20 finalists are chosen to present at the Annual Meeting and must be present at their posters during the Poster Sessions to maintain eligibility. Alternates cannot present on their behalf. Finalists will be interviewed by the NIRA committee.
  • Award recipients will be selected upon the quality and presentation of material in the abstract, the quality of the poster, and the ability to discuss the material.
 
 

Awards are presented at the Dinner on Monday evening.

Finalist will receive JPY 50,000 and winners will receive additional JPY50,000 (Total JPY100,000) and the certificate.
